Dornbirn, Austria – The shortlist for the 2021 ‘Zumtobel Group Award – Innovations for Sustainability and Humanity in the Built Environment’ in the two categories Buildings and Urban Developments & Initiatives as well as for the Special Prize for Innovation has been decided.

Architecture and engineering firms, urban and landscape planners, universities and technology companies, NGOs, and public or private initiatives were able to submit their projects. This year, the international architecture award carries a total prize money of EUR 120,000.

From the public invitation to participate, a total of 220 projects have been registered from 42 countries, all of which stand out for their exceptional quality and originality.

In a pre-selection, ten projects have now been shortlisted in each category. In addition, six projects across both categories have been defined as candidates for the Special Prize for Innovation.
